今天是春节，农历大年初一。早晨，太阳渐渐升起，阳光驱散了薄雾，天空瓦蓝瓦蓝的'。

我和爸爸、妈妈出门去玩，我们一出门，就看到街上非常热闹，空气里荡漾着炮竹的硝烟味，人们都穿上节日的新装，个个喜气洋洋。对于我们孩子来说，新年更高兴了。我手上拿着红艳艳，黄澄澄，绿盈盈的气球，笑个不停。

我们一家人来到了古彭广场。节日的古彭广场人山人海，张灯结彩，披红挂绿，到处都漂浮着一串串彩色的气球和条幅;锣鼓声一阵紧似一阵，人们舞着长龙，扭着秧歌，真是一片欢乐的海洋，我们都沉浸在这节日的欢庆气氛之中。

一到春节，我就想起一句顺口溜：“恭喜发财，红包拿来。不拿红包，打成熊猫。”可我总是想不明白：春节是怎么来的呢?

妈妈告诉我：“相传，古代有一种叫‘年’的怪兽，非常凶猛。每到除夕，‘年’就会吞食牲畜，伤人性命。因此，人们只好逃往深山。一天，村里来了一位老人，他在这儿住了一晚。‘年’来了，老人让村民点燃爆竹，‘年’吓得狼狈逃窜。原来，‘年’怕红色、火光、炸响。从此，每年除夕，家家户户贴春联、放爆竹，这一天就成了中国传统节日——春节。”

春节有许多习俗，比如放烟花。每到大年三十的晚上，家家户户点燃五颜六色的烟花，给漆黑的夜空添加了一道美丽的风景。

发压岁钱，也是春节的一大习俗。每到除夕，家家户户的人都会把自己的钱放到红包里，送给家人或朋友的小孩。

每到春节，我都无比兴奋，因为可以放烟花，得压岁钱了!开始放烟花了，一束束五彩斑斓的烟花在人们的注视下飞上了天空。“叭”的一声响，烟花在空中绽放，有的像欣然怒放的菊花;有的像一条条长龙飞上天空，无比壮观;还有的像满天的小星星。但是转眼就消失得无影无踪。放完烟花，我更加兴奋了，满脑子想的都是压岁钱。我迫不及待地冲出屋子，向大人们一个接一个地要钱，就连姐姐也不放过。

中华民族的节日多姿多彩，而春节是我最喜欢的节日。

Now that Nian is gone and other beasts of prey are also scared into forests, people begin to enjoy their peaceful life. Before the old man left, he had told people to put up red paper decorations on their windows and doors at each year s end to scare away Nian in case it sneaked back again, because red is the color the beast feared the most.

From then on, the tradition of observing the conquest of Nian is carried on from generation to generation. The term Guo Nian , which may mean Survive the Nian becomes today Celebrate the Year as the word guo in Chinese having both the meaning of pass-over and observe . The custom of putting up red paper and firing fire-crackers to scare away Nian should it have a chance to run loose is still around. However, people today have long forgotten why they are doing all this, except that they feel the color and the sound add to the excitement of the celebratio

今天是大年三十，到了晚上快十二点钟我兴奋的从床上起来，因为我要看烟花，过了今晚我又要长大一岁了，所以我要好好庆祝这个夜晚。

十二点到了，只听见"砰，啪"的声音到处响起，抬头看天空一朵朵烟花绽放把城市都照亮了，只见那灿烂的烟花象一朵朵五颜六色的"彩花"出现在我面前，随着那朵朵"彩花"消失，又有很多"彩花飞起，它"砰"的一声飞出无数小花，然后小花就在我面前闪耀，真是美丽极了。还有的烟花飞到空中拖着长长的.尾巴在空中爆炸，就想一条火龙飞上天空一样。各种各样的烟花各放其彩，美不胜收，我心想过年真好。

鞭炮也不甘落后，用那震耳欲聋的响声"噼噼啪啪"跟烟花比试，争先恐后的来迎接新的一年的开始，每个人都希望在新的一年里身体健康，学习进步，万事如意。

看好了我回去睡觉了，外面还在响着眼花和鞭炮嘈杂的声音，虽然很嘈但我心里却很高兴，今晚是我最快乐的一天。
