I read Andersen's fairy tale The Lightbox,which is my favorite story.The five characters in this story attracted me: soldiers,witches,and three terrible dogs.

The story is about a poor soldier who met a witch on his way home.The witch said that you can get as much money as you want now.The soldier said thank you.The witch pointed to the tree and said that you can get a lot of money from going down here,The witch asked him to go down to get the tinder box again.The soldier took the tinder box and came up to ask why you wanted to make the tinder box.The witch said I wouldn't tell you.The soldier immediately took out his knife and cut the witch's head.Then the soldier took the money of the witch,and he became very rich.He shared his money with some poor people.His money became less and less,and finally he had no money.

At last,he found the use of the tinder box.With the help of the three loyal dogs,he lived a rich life again.He also saw the lonely princess living in the palace.After many twists and turns,he became the king and married a beautiful princess.After I read this story,I was a little confused.Why did the soldiers kill witches? Later,I realized that the soldier took the money from the witch to help some poor people.The soldier was very kind and brave.He had courage and wisdom.He tried to solve problems and difficulties.

My favorite picture book story,Three Cups.

On Jack's fifth birthday,his parents gave him a mysterious gift and assured him that the gift would take him on a magical journey.Jack couldn't wait to open this mysterious gift.It was three old cups.His mother told him to divide your pocket money into three parts and put them in these three cups.The first part of shopping was put in the savings cup; The second part of shopping,put it in the consumption cup; The last one is used to help others and put in the love cup.

After a period of time,the money in the savings cup was full.His mother suggested Jack to deposit the money in the bank.Jack listened to his mother's suggestion and deposited the money in the savings cup in the bank.Jack also used the money in the consumption cup to buy a doll for his sister,baseball gloves for himself,and eight canned soup cans with the money in the love cup to donate to poor families.

The story of "Three Cups" helps us understand money and how to manage our pocket money.It makes us understand that the important thing is not how much money we have,but how to use it responsibly.

After reading the story of "Three Cups",I have started to plan my pocket money.What about you?

Lu Xun is my favourite writer. He is one of the most famous writers in China. He wrote a lot of literary works.He was thin and not tall. He always wore a long old coat in that time.

At first, he wanted to be a doctor and save people’s lives. So he learned medicine, but later he found the Chinese were in sensitive when they faced the oppression of their enemies. So he began to write articles to wake the people up. Lu Xun wrote some famous novels, he attacked the social mores in that time, and in his works, many persons were known very well, such as “Ah Q”“Kong Yi ji”.

I like Lu Xun because I also want to be a great writer like him. I like reading and writing, and I often write some articles in my free time. Though I don’t have good literary talent or a large vocabulary, I spend lots of time reading and writing to improve my writing skills.

Lu Xun is my hero, I will learn more from him. I believe I can be a great writer like him in the future.
